What wants to move through you?
A Living Practice
The Tantric tradition offers a way of engaging with life that is both practical and transformative. Rather than asking us to step away from the world, it invites us to participate in it more fully.
Tantra describes life as animated by Spanda, the subtle pulse of aliveness present in every moment. The more we learn to recognise it, the more we discover that it has been present all along: in every breath, every longing, every moment of insight and every act of creation.
As this recognition deepens, we begin to recognise the three powers of Sakti - icchā (desire), jñana (awareness) and kriyā (expression) already alive within us.
Through meditation, Āsana, movement, māntra, contemplation and shared enquiry, this immersion offers Tantra not just as a philosophy to understand, but as a living practice to be experienced and embodied.
We live in a time of endless information… of social media, news and now AI, where wisdom can be consumed in seconds and forgotten just as quickly. It's easy to mistake inspiration for transformation, to collect beautiful ideas without giving them the time to take root and change us.
This immersion offers something different: the time and space to slow down, to practise, and to allow these teachings to become felt and integrated rather than another disposable, forgotten course.
Over time, that will transform the way we are able to meet life itself - instead of striving and control, come recognition and response to the creative pulse already moving within us and allowing intuitive guidance to flow freely.
"We don't need more wisdom quotes and affirmations. We need the time, space and courage to allow wisdom to change us." - Tahl
We will gather at The IN Movement in Ubud, Bali,
a landscape that is lush, devotional, and alive,
where we are fully nourished and supported as we practise.

OVER FIVE DAYS WE Will EXPLORE
Daily Sādhanā
Each day begins with a shared practice, incorporating āsana, prāṇāyāma, meditation, kriyā and māntrā to help us develop a felt relationship with prāṇa awareness and the movement of life within us.
Living the Teachings
Through a combination of lecture, contemplation and dialogue, we'll explore themes of desire, purpose and authentic expression, allowing the teachings to come alive through relationship and reflection. In these sessions, the wisdom of the Spanda Karikas and the philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism become less ‘abstract concepts to grasp’, but rather, a philosophical framework that helps us navigate reality.
Sound & Deep Rest
Sound immersions will offer another doorway into direct experience, using vibration as a pathway into stillness, subtle awareness and the pulse of life that the Tantric tradition calls Spanda.
WHO IS THIS IMMERSION FOR?
This immersion is for practitioners who feel called to go deeper. Not simply to learn more, but to embody their practice more fully.
It may be for you if:
You feel ready to move beyond collecting teachings and into living them through sustained practice.
You long for dedicated time away from the pace of everyday life to study, practise and reflect.
You are drawn to the philosophy of Tantra and want to explore it as a living tradition rather than an intellectual pursuit.
You value depth, sincerity and a committed daily practice.
You feel called to reconnect with your own heart, your purpose and the unique path your practice is inviting you towards.
For dedicated practitioners, this immersion offers an opportunity to deepen your understanding of the Tantric tradition while strengthening your own Sādhanā through five days of immersive practice, study and embodied experience.
For yoga teachers, this immersion offers not only a deeper personal experience of these teachings, but an opportunity to explore how they can be integrated into your own teaching with greater authenticity, confidence and depth.
No prior study of Tantra or the Spanda Kārikās is required—only curiosity, sincerity and a willingness to practise. Āsana sessions will be offered at a mixed level, with options to support a range of experience.

WHERE IS THE IMMERSION HELD?
Pulse is held at The IN Movement in Nyuh Kuning, Ubud, a calm refuge in the heart of Bali. We practise in the Sekala shala, a light-filled, air-conditioned studio set among the rice fields, with mats, props, and sound all provided. The property also has an on-site restaurant and recovery centre.
Nyuh Kuning is one of Ubud's gentler corners, a village of artists and woodcarvers on the edge of the Monkey Forest, minutes from the centre of Ubud yet far quieter. Ubud is the cultural and spiritual heart of Bali: rice paddies, temples, morning offerings on every doorstep, and a long tradition of welcoming practitioners from around the world. The days are warm and green, the food is fresh, and beautiful cafes, organic kitchens, and local warungs sit within a short walk.
ACCOMMODATION
This is a non-residential immersion, and your accommodation is booked separately so you can choose the stay that suits you. Options sit within walking distance or a short scooter or taxi ride of the shala, across a range of budgets.

YOUR INSTRUCTOR
For more than twenty-five years, Tahl Rinsky has devoted her life to the practice and teaching of yoga. A writer, artist and mother of three, Tahl is the founder of Haum Space in Byron Bay and co-founder of Creature Yoga.
She leads retreats and teacher trainings internationally and mentors practitioners and teachers who are ready to let the practice change their life.
Rooted in the Ashtanga Yoga Tantric tradition, Tahl's teaching isn't about accumulating knowledge or performing spirituality. It's direct, embodied and alive. Through intelligent sequencing, sustained flow and a rare ability to put words to what people are already beginning to experience, she creates the conditions for the teachings to be experienced rather than explained.
